The annual Luxembourgish running competition, known as the "Berdorfer Laf," has been in existence since 2008. Designs for the years 2018, 2019, and 2022 were crafted by Alexi Weemaes.
In the design for these years, the letter "R" is depicted as if in motion, symbolizing readiness for the race. The green abstract background is inspired by the texture of a folded running T-shirt, rendered as a bitmap. Additionally, screen-printed designs were created.

The poster titled "Like Sardines in a Can" has been chosen as one of the top three entries for the Arttelex Master exhibition. Despite the limited space and the presence of 14 artistic participants, the poster's name and its dynamic design capture the essence of the crowded environment.

Following a natural catastrophe in the form of landslides during the years 2018 and 2019, numerous roads incurred significant damage. As a consequence, residents of Berdorf experienced a sense of isolation akin to being marooned on an island.
The meaning of caustic: Caustic is the reflection of light that occurs on smooth and highly reflective surfaces. Examples include water, plastic, glass, and more. Throughout her book, the process and artistry of caustic are elucidated in a graphic manner.
The compilation of the final output consisted of a process portfolio book encompassing the evolution, thesis, sources of inspiration, 7x7 assignments, and drawings. Additionally, it featured laser-cut shapes representing caustic forms, along with abstract caustic shape templates. Furthermore, a 6-minute video showcased various forms of moving caustics.
"Ik neem je mee(r)" (“I'll take you (with me).”) is the masterwork of Alexi Weemaes, focusing on her personal trauma and has a psychological and emotional educational emphasis. She guides the viewer through her experiences, healing process, and dealing with flashbacks, panic attacks, and other dark days.
The young professional presents this work through video material. She seeks the right associations between image and emotion, perfecting it with audio and background sounds. Constant exposure to intense images and voices imposes an emotional burden on daily life. Alexi Weemaes balances her work between video and sculptures. The sculptures are not perfected; they offer her peace and a therapeutic approach. Detailed images are captured photographically and videographically, then integrated into her final video. These images also carry their own character and provide emotional associations.
This book guides you through the entire creative journey, detailing the inspiration, methods, and collaborations with psychologist Wouter Vandijk, Laetitia Flammang (a student at Maastricht University's Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Life Sciences), the “Mental Health” expo, and Alexi’s parents.
